Coming to America: Legendary Bottled Spring Water From Greece

The famed spring waters of Greece will soon be available in North America. Symi International, a newly formed, Virginia-based company, will be the exclusive distributor for Samaria Natural Spring Water in the North America.

Samaria Natural Spring Water originates at the foothills of Lefka Ori (“White Mountains”) on the Greek island of Crete. Lefka Ori is a region famed for its majestic beauty and deep cave system. The abundance of limestone formations limits cross-contamination with other aquifers, meaning Samaria’s source springs are unaffected by local water channels. Greek bottler ETANAP SA operates a state-of-the-art facility to capture, bottle and test the water, and an on-site microbiology lab checks to make sure Samaria is the cleanest, purest water available.

Samaria Water is the World’s 2nd Best Bottled Water

Every year, more than 120 different waters from all over the world enter the largest and longest running water tasting worldwide, in the historic city of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. The entrances are judged by ten journalists and food critics based on flavor, aroma, mouth feel and aftertaste, among others. The contest is considered as the Academy Awards of water tasting.

Samaria Water entered for the first time this competition on the 20th to 23rd of February, 2014, winning the silver medal in the bottled water category.
